Wada has been one of the world\u2019s leading researchers in polycrystalline thin film solar cells. He was a project leader at Matsushita Electric (Panasonic), and his group achieved efficiency of about 18% by originally developed composition-control technology for Cu(In,Ga)Se2 solar cells in 1996.
